About us

The Energy Manager was founded in 2016 by Joanne Ragdale and Liz Richardson.

They shared a wealth of experience in the energy industry and after seeing how suppliers and brokers treated customers, they were determined to offer a better experience for businesses.

Today, we have a small experienced team of dedicated industry professionals who share those same passions. They continue the great work and love building strong relationships with customers and suppliers to provide the best possible service.

Our size means we remain flexible and can tailor our service to meet the demands of customers and we are constantly evolving to meet the challenges of the industry.

The energy market remains a complex space to navigate; simply ensuring your business is getting the best deal can be an exhausting undertaking - that’s where we come in.

  • James Shenton

    Associate Director

    James has over 23 years of experience in the business energy sector, 20 of which were at a large energy supplier. He’s had various roles including, pricing, sales and commercial and loves building strong relationships.

  • Raechell Brown

    Head of Service and Operations

    Raechell has worked in the Energy industry for over 14 years, gaining experience across Customer Service, Operations, Compliance and Business Development. She is passionate about supporting customers, building lasting relationships and leading teams to deliver exceptional results. With a natural talent for problem solving and a love of data and reporting, turning complex challenges into simple, effective solutions.

  • Sophie Essex

    Account Manager

    Sophie joined us having worked in Customer Services for various organisations. Sophie is extremely tenacious meaning she is excellent at getting to the bottom of complex queries with suppliers. Managing multiple clients in our UK portfolio, she goes above and beyond to get great outcomes for her customers.

  • Shane White

    Account Manager

    Shane has worked in Billing, Debt and Customer Service departments for various renewable energy suppliers. He has a wide variety of industry knowledge and takes a proactive approach in resolving issues before they come to fruition. Shane manages the portfolios for Ireland and water. Thriving on unpicking the complex, nothing is too much effort for him.

    Account Manager

    Olly has over a decade of customer service experience, he specializes in building strong, lasting relationships through exceptional service and communication. His passion for helping others and dedication to creating positive customer experiences have consistently contributed to client satisfaction and team success.

  • Victoria Bonner

    Utilities Admin Executive

    Oversees the billing process for UK clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every stage. Victoria takes pride in validating rates and charges, resolving discrepancies, and liaising with suppliers to track down missing invoices. With strong attention to detail she helps make sure everything runs smoothly and that customers receive accurate bills on time.

  • Diana Bristow

    Utilities Executive & Accounts

    As the longest serving member of the team, there isn’t an invoice query Diana hasn’t seen before and aided by her accounting skills isn’t able to unpick. Diana keeps suppliers on their toes with her keen eye for detail.

  • Jane Hoque

    Sales Administrator

    Jane has over 18 years’ experience within the sales industry along with account management experience. Jane is a key member of the team overseeing all new contracts and changes in customer information.

Based in the heart of Wiltshire in the village of Brinkworth, allegedly the longest village in the UK. The Energy Manager supports many local businesses with their energy needs.
